Special Insurance Program Available For Dry Cleaners
Meeting the insurance needs of the dry cleaners, Irving Weber Associates, Inc. (IWA) offers a Fabricare Insurance Program that includes a specialized businessowners policy (BOP) that includes the coverages essential to protect today’s dry cleaners. Also available are business auto and workers’ compensation coverage. Coverage for businessowners’ and customers’ goods is provided by The St. Paul Insurance Companies and includes:
- Unlimited bailee coverage — All-risk, including articles in transit
- Damage to goods in process
- Mysterious disappearance
- Unlimited box storage coverage
- Customers’ furs
- While on the insured’s premises, in transit, or at other processors’ locations
- While in an approved storage enclosure
- Excess legal liability
- Coverage for accrued charges
The program also includes boiler and machinery coverage to protect against damage to others, as well as the dry cleaner’s personal property and processing equipment.
Workers’ compensation safety group coverage has returned dividends to policyholders for more than 50 years. In addition, pollution liability coverage, underwritten by Colony Insurance, also is available under the Fabricare program.
The program is both comprehensive in coverage and competitively priced. It is accessible to agents and brokers in all states except California, Louisiana, Arkansas, Hawaii, and Indiana. Coverage is written exclusively through IWA in the states of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Florida.
